At PRIDEON, we do things differently. That’s why we offer a “Buy & Test” deal instead of a “Test & Buy” option.

What is the Buy & Test offer?

It’s simple: with Buy & Test, you buy the skis first and then test them. If you don’t like them, you can return them to us and get your money back, minus a €100 test fee.

Why Buy & Test instead of Test & Buy?

As a small manufacturer with limited editions, we can’t run multiple test centers near you. Buy & Test is our online alternative to a test center. The best part? You can test the skis wherever you feel most comfortable!

How does the Buy & Test offer work?

  1. Before buying: Select the “Buy & Test” checkbox on the product page. This automatically includes you in the program.
  2. Before testing: Once you receive the skis, take them to a professional ski shop to adjust the bindings. We can’t do this for you, as bindings need to be adjusted to your specific ski boots.
  3. Testing: Enjoy a ski day and test the skis thoroughly. Note: You can test them for up to 2 days only.
  4. Make a decision: If you love the skis, keep them! If not, contact us to arrange a return. After inspecting the skis, we’ll refund your money minus a €100 test fee and any damage charges.

Costs and Conditions

Costs

  • Test fee: €100 is deducted from your refund if you return the skis.
  • Damage costs: You are responsible for any damages. Here’s what to expect:
    • Base: Surface scratches are fine. Damage exposing the core may render the skis unusable, possibly leading to full replacement costs.
    • Edges: Normal wear is fine. Edge breaks or deep damage may also lead to replacement costs.
    • Top sheet: Minor scratches are okay. Larger scratches or chips may reduce the refund by €50–€300.
    • Binding: Rarely damaged. If irreparable, the cost is €350.
  • Optional Damage Waiver: For €29.90, this covers minor accidental damage (e.g., not intentional damage or reckless use like skiing on rocky slopes). The fee is non-refundable.

Additional Conditions

  • No Ski Service: If the skis are serviced by anyone other than us, the return policy and Buy & Test program are void. We can detect unauthorized servicing.
  • Fair Use: The offer is valid for 2 ski days only, not a full ski holiday. Extensive use will void the return policy.
  • Return Shipping: Return shipping with DPD from Germany or Austria is included. For other countries, we cover €25 of the cost, with additional fees deducted from your refund.
  • EU Only: The program is only available within the EU.
  • Review Program: By choosing Buy & Test, you agree to be contacted for reviews and testimonials.

Final Thoughts

The rules may sound strict, but don’t worry. We handle ski tests daily at our rental shop, “Sport Nenner,” in Hintertux, and customers rarely have issues if they treat the skis as their own. If you don’t have ski insurance, we recommend the optional damage waiver for peace of mind. Accidents can happen, and it’s better to be safe!
